There are clearly some errors needing to be addressed in the first edition of the Skoki Cookbook. This was, of course, the first time I have written, self-published and independently printed a book. I did hire a professional editor but for some reason these errors were over-looked at the crucial stage prior to printing and I was unfortunately at the Lodge and unable to have a final review as most of you know we have no internet connection in the backcountry. I truly apologize for the misprints and will focus more diligently on the second print in correcting these. The main objective of the Skoki Cookbook was to introduce some of you to the beauty and adventure of the Lodge. For others it was a great way to bring the Skoki recipes I have shared with you at the Lodge, into your own homes. I still believe that this book has done both and hope the focal point of the Skoki Cookbook remains positive and noteworthy.
The following recipes need adjustment:
Honey Sour Cream Coffee Cake: Page 33. Should read 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder - not - 1 1/2 cups.
Heavenly Biscotti: Page 98. When it asks to turn the oven temperature down to 275F - it is from 350F.
Tomato-Orzo Soup with Pesto: Page 124. The plum tomatoes should be a 796ml/28floz can.
Quinoa-Stuffed Peppers. Page 110. The can sizes on the red kidney beans and diced tomatoes should be a 540ml can.
Thanks to all of you that have been so awesome and supportive and understanding. I truly apologize for the errors and will strive to produce an incredible second edition,
